Smoothie Bowls


Whoever came up with the idea for smoothie bowls is a genius! They look beautiful, they are so versatile, and they are healthy and delicious. This one took me all of 5 minutes to whip up this morning. The best bit about this bowl is that I did a green smoothie and my daughter ate the whole lot! If I had served it up in a cup without the toppings the shutters would have come down the moment she saw it was green. Win!

So on to the recipe but please Don’t feel restricted. You can swap any of the smoothie ingredients or toppings to your taste. But this one is especially delicious!
Serves 4
The Smoothie
  • 2 cups of frozen mango
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 ripe avacado
  • 2 cups of yoghurt (we used Koko vegan lemon and coconut yoghurt)
  • A small amount of coconut milk to help loosen while blending
The toppings (a sprinkle of each)
  • Desiccated coconut
  • Brazil nuts
  • Chia seeds
  • Flax seed meal
  • Dried fruit
  • Fresh strawberries
  • Fresh blueberries
